The atmosphere is warmer and more lived in once the light is on. I like that the room still looks like itself at night, just more complete. Monica I absolutely love these lamps! I needed softer lighting for my living room, but am not a big fan of torch-style floor lamps. I took a chance on these because the price was so reasonable and I am so happy with them! They cast the perfect amount of light without causing glare on my tv, are much sturdier than I expected, and I love that they have a floor switch. The covers are paper, but they're pretty sturdy, and it really helps to diffuse the light nicely. Seller shipped these very quickly.

James there is some assembly but its very easy. It didnt take long to install and if you use the Edison style bulbs it looks very beautiful. Fairly priced as well.
