I expected a visual upgrade; I did not expect the whole room to feel calmer, which works well for the way we use the bedroom. It pairs easily with what we already own instead of making the older pieces look out of place.

I notice this table lamp most during everyday life, which is probably why it already feels like part of the room, and it has been easy to live with since then. It took me a little while to see how it fit with the rest of the room, and now the balance feels right. I have no urge to replace it with something else, which says a lot.
