It pulled the dining area together in a way that feels natural rather than styled for a photo, which is the part I notice most in everyday use. It took me a little while to see how it fit with the rest of the room, and now the balance feels right. The lighting changes the mood of the dining area without making the room feel staged. The orb shape is distinctive enough to notice, but it still works with the rest of the room. It works well with how we actually live in the space instead of making the room feel too precious.

Up close, the travertine gives the design some depth, while the overall look still stays easy to live with, which is why I am still happy with it. After the first few days, I stopped thinking about where it came from and just started enjoying having it in our home office. I have no urge to replace it with something else, which says a lot.
