Up close, the brass gives the design some depth, while the overall look still stays easy to live with, which works well for the way we use the living room.

My partner and I usually disagree on decorative choices, but this was an easy one once it was in place, which is probably why it settled into the room so quickly. It has held my attention without feeling like something I will get tired of quickly. It changed the nighttime feel of the room more than I expected from a single fixture.
