I was trying to avoid a room that looked too styled, and this ceiling fan helped without pushing it that way. I did not need to change the furniture or decor around it for the ceiling fan to make sense in the space. I use the remote more than I expected; it makes the fan feel easier to live with. We use it as part of the normal routine now, not just on especially hot days.
