The arc shape is distinctive enough to notice, but it still works with the rest of the room. There is a better sense of balance in our bedroom now; nothing else had to change for it to work. I keep appreciating it in small moments rather than only when I am deliberately looking at it. I bought it for the design, but I like it even more for how naturally it settled into the room.
