Up close, the marble gives the design some depth, while the overall look still stays easy to live with, and it feels more settled every time I see it. This was the final design decision before we stopped tinkering with the room, which may be why I appreciate it so much. It gives the room a more edited look without making it feel formal.

I do like the marble detail up close, but what matters more is how naturally the whole vase works in the room. It has held my attention without feeling like something I will get tired of quickly.

I noticed the marble more once it was in the room, but the overall balance is what I ended up appreciating most. There is a better sense of balance in our home office now; nothing else had to change for it to work. It gives the room a more edited look without making it feel formal.
