The overall effect is subtle, but the entryway feels much more complete with this wall light there. The overall room looks more put together now, even though we barely changed anything else. It feels settled rather than trendy.

I expected something quieter, but the extra presence works better than I thought it would; nothing else needed to change. It has a little more visual presence than I pictured, so I simplified the area around it, but I like the result. I like that it adds interest without forcing the rest of the room into the same style. I am happy with where the room landed.

The best part is how normal it feels in the room now, in a good way, which is what made the choice feel right in the end. Up close, the brass gives the design some depth, while the overall look still stays easy to live with.
