The Capsula is an alabaster wall sconce with two rounded capsule-shaped stone panels — upper and lower — set on a slim iron backplate with a center collar. The translucent natural alabaster glows warm and shows its veining when lit. With an iron frame in a warm gold-tone finish, it suits a hallway, a bedside wall, a powder room, or either side of a mirror. 17.7″ tall.

Bulb base — E14 (read before buying)

This sconce takes two E14 bulbs. E14 is the European small screw base (14 mm) — it is not the US E12 candelabra base. In the US, buy bulbs marked E14, or use an E12-to-E14 adapter, so they thread in correctly. Warm white (2700K) suits the natural stone. Questions .

Installation Notes

Hardwired wall sconce — we recommend a licensed electrician; shut off power at the breaker before wiring.
The iron backplate covers a standard wall junction box; confirm your box placement and height before install.
Use two E14 bulbs (European 14 mm screw) rated for 110–240V; in the US, look for E14-marked bulbs or an E12-to-E14 adapter.
Use LED bulbs so the alabaster and iron frame stay cool in use; warm white (2700K) brings out the stone.
Handle the alabaster panels by the metal frame, not the stone, and seat them gently; natural stone can chip if knocked.
Wipe the stone and frame with a soft, dry cloth; avoid water, harsh cleaners, and abrasive pads on the natural alabaster.

From where I usually see it, the room feels less empty and more lived in in person. The wall feels much more intentional now.

With the rest of the area kept simple, the piece feels more natural in person than it did on screen now that the room is finished. I am glad I did not choose something more complicated.

This really comes into its own at night without feeling overdone. It made the room feel more complete in a very natural way. The effect is noticeable without being dramatic. It feels right for the room.
