It has a little more visual presence than I pictured, but the overall effect works for me.

When I notice the room in passing, the piece feels useful and visually settled at the same time. I had doubts about the overall look, but the room feels more settled than I expected from one change. The alabaster reads more naturally in person than I expected from the photos.

To my eye, the wall light feels connected to the room rather than added on. The wall light feels like part of the architecture rather than another thing to manage. As evening settles in, the reading corner feels softer without losing definition.
