I chose this instead of a more generic option, and the room handles the design better than I thought it would. In the hours when we use the room most, the living room feels more inviting. I would call it a touch more assertive than the photos suggested, though the extra presence ended up being a positive.

Within the room as a whole, the table lamp makes the room feel considered rather than decorated. By the time we are winding down, the room has more depth.
