The reason this feels easy to live with is that the design has personality without dictating the rest of the room. Later at night, the room feels easier to settle into. During a normal week, the design is easy to live with instead of demanding attention.

I thought I might need to redesign around it, but the scale of the idea feels right once it is part of the whole room.

After dinner, the entry feels especially comfortable. This was one of the final choices for the new place, and it helped the entry stop feeling temporary. In a room that already had enough going on, the wall light gives the room contrast without feeling trendy. It feels like the room has found its final version now.

In person, the room has a stronger visual center. I went back and forth before ordering, but the room handles the design better than I thought it would. With the other pieces doing less, the design feels distinctive but still easy to mix with what I already own. I like it more now than I did the day it arrived.
