What made this work for me was the balance between having presence and still feeling relaxed; the result feels natural. The biggest change is how much more settled the living room feels with this wall light in place. I notice the difference most once the daylight fades and the room starts to feel quieter. The room feels better with it than without it.

Once this wall light was in place, the room stopped feeling like it still needed one more thing, which works well for the way we use the entryway.
