The travertine is a nice detail in person without becoming the only reason the piece works, without forcing us to change everything around it. It pairs easily with what we already own instead of making the older pieces look out of place.

I chose this wall light for the design, but the way it fits everyday life is what I like most now; I like where the room landed. We use the reading corner all the time, and this wall light still feels like a good choice rather than something I bought just for looks.

What surprised me most was how quickly this wall light stopped feeling new and started feeling familiar; it has been easy to live with.
